It's time to find some great Hudson's Bay Deals

Although the news may sadden some people, this was a long time coming. Simply put, the Hudson's Bay failed to adapt to changing consumer trends. The organization of its shelves often left infrequent visitors bemused. Increasing competition for online shopping and its failure to strengthen its digital footprint in the last decade has severely impacted the company's growth and bottom line.

Starting Monday, there may be some really good deals to be had at the Hudson's Bay. Canada's oldest company has the court's approval to begin liquidating its stores across Canada. The company has decided it will start the liquidation process in all but six of its department stores.

The six surviving stores possibly for now are:

• Flagship downtown stores in Toronto and Montreal
• Yorkdale Shopping Centre
• Hillcrest Mall in Richmond Hill, Ontario
• CF Carrefour Laval in Lava, Quebec
• CF Fairview Pointe-Claire in Pointe-Claire, Quebec
